The 2024 Election: A Foreboding Outlook

Chapter 1: The Political Landscape
The 2024 election already appears to be a catastrophe with no favorable resolutions in sight.
"The left wing and the right wing belong to the same bird." — Pat Buchanan
Why reference Pat Buchanan, a controversial figure and former speechwriter for President Nixon? Because the current political climate is dismal and absurd. Though I may not agree with him, his statement rings true. The dominance of two corporate entities—the Republican and Democratic parties—over the American political arena renders this election a hollow spectacle devoid of real purpose. How did this election, which both parties claim is "the most significant of our time," become so trivial?
We find ourselves at the mercy of two parties that do not serve the electorate. These parties, in collusion, manipulate all political endeavors. Hence, I refer to them collectively as "the Apparatus."
This situation is precisely why the 2024 Presidential election is already a complete disaster. It resembles a city devastated by both a meteor strike and an earthquake simultaneously. Regardless of the victor, we are left grappling with a dysfunctional political system.
At least we have a choice, right?
I appreciate the existence of a choice, but it remains a disaster. Imagine those individuals caught in a flood with a submerged vehicle—there are no good options.
If President Biden manages to secure re-election, it will signify that, despite widespread dissatisfaction with his foreign policy and immigration stance, he prevailed. Unfortunately, this victory will likely perpetuate a troubling trend, leading future Democrats to believe they must adhere to policies that the majority of their base opposes in order to win elections. This is a disheartening reality.
Conversely, if Biden loses, the former President from Queens will return to power. That scenario is equally concerning. His previous term was fraught with issues, and his post-presidency rhetoric has devolved into incoherence. His only agenda seems to be evading legal troubles and amassing wealth from unsuspecting followers.
At least he is candid about his lack of integrity, right?
In all honesty, yes. But why would anyone consider voting for him? The United States is home to countless capable individuals who could fulfill this role without wreaking havoc.
Truthfully, this election doesn't present a choice between the lesser of two evils; it is a void. Those individuals in the flood with the car? That’s us, and all we can do is push the vehicle and hope to avoid being swept away.
The GOP has made their choice clear: they will nominate a candidate devoid of ethics, morals, or any meaningful purpose other than self-enrichment through deception.
The Democrats are equally directionless. Biden's 2020 election stemmed from a collective rejection of Trump, yet no one within the party advised him to step aside for a more viable candidate. Their reluctance to change is indicative of their satisfaction with the status quo, as they collude with the GOP to monopolize political influence and financial resources in America.
Like a drifter on a train, this situation leads us to the conclusion (if I must reiterate) that we face two subpar candidates and a disastrous electoral climate for 2024. One of these candidates will claim a mandate, sending the wrong message, as neither is fit to secure the future of our nation. Whichever one wins will immediately be a lame duck.
I’m already looking ahead to 2028, although my enthusiasm is waning. One critical point remains: if the former President from Queens wins and later refuses to vacate the office, we must ensure his departure. If necessary, we should mobilize the nation to forcibly remove him from the White House like a drifter being ejected from a train.
