Section 1.1: Monetizing Your Skills

What’s your profession? How long have you been in this field? Do you hold any additional certifications? You might be surprised to learn that you don’t need to take on a completely different role to make money online. Chances are, you possess a skill that others find valuable. This could easily translate into offering consultation calls.

You can start by:

• Responding to inquiries that you can address, and directing them to your scheduling link.
• Creating online content that showcases your expertise and encourages potential clients to book one-on-one sessions through your link.

Platforms like Calendly or Topmate (which I personally use) are great for this. Believe me, there’s something you know that others are eager to learn. You're just one call away from earning for your expertise.

Section 1.2: Creating Digital Products

Developing a digital product is not as complex as it sounds. In fact, it’s often simpler than you might expect. For those of you who have created some content, you may already have a product ready to go!

Here’s how I created my first digital product: I wanted to write an ebook about side hustles. At that time, I had authored several articles on the topic. By filtering my Google Sheets, I discovered that out of 33 articles, 13 were perfect for inclusion in my ebook, outlining the journey in a logical sequence. I then:

1. Copied and pasted the selected articles into Google Docs.
2. Designed a free cover using Canva.
3. Uploaded everything to Mailchimp and later to Gumroad.

That was the entire process!

My second freebie, a Side Hustler Checklist, took less than two hours to create and upload to Gumroad. The results were impressive:

It has generated passive income while I sleep, as about 5% of customers opted to pay for it. This is possible when you activate the ‘pay what you want’ feature on Gumroad. Following that, my paid products were a direct response to the most frequently asked questions I received, which led to the development of my flagship course, Summit 21, along with several writing guides.

Section 2.1: Sharing Your Knowledge

Everyone has stories to tell. Reflect on your childhood summer vacations. What were the most significant lessons you learned from your favorite teachers? What insights did you gain from your experiences at work or school? These are all narratives waiting to be shared.

Once you start creating content, you’ll likely attract the opportunities mentioned earlier. In fact, starting now is crucial, as it can pave the way for unexpected opportunities.

I took a leap and quit my job to freelance, but I ended up evolving into a solopreneur because one opportunity led to another, resulting in the creation of various products and courses. This wasn’t part of my original plan, but it materialized as I remained consistent in writing online.

So, begin planting your seeds today to uncover a wealth of opportunities over time.
