Creativity may seem effortless, but cultivating a mindset that allows you to explore it can be challenging. Here are four mindsets I had to abandon to enhance my creative journey.

Creativity demands sacrifices; it cannot be confined to a rigid schedule. It’s an uncontrollable force, and inspiration may strike at unexpected moments. You could be enjoying a movie with friends or attending a family dinner when a brilliant idea emerges. To avoid losing it, you must step away from the fun and jot it down.

Don’t let the fear of missing out hinder your creative flow. Whenever inspiration hits, prioritize capturing that idea, even if it means stepping back from the social scene.
