Introducing Myself: A Journey of Writing and Learning

Chapter 1: Who Am I?
Hello everyone!
I'm Gregor, and I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for Medium. Over the past few years, the art of writing and sharing my thoughts has brought me immense joy. For me, writing is a natural process—a daily necessity that feels as essential as breathing. Whenever I find myself at a standstill, I turn to writing. It’s my way of processing thoughts and ideas.
What captivated me about Medium is how effortlessly I can present my work to the world.
Professionally, I am a Protestant theologian, and I previously taught at a university before embracing my role as a full-time dad. The act of learning invigorates me, and I enjoy discussing topics that pique my curiosity. Currently, I’m realizing that teaching is, in fact, another avenue for learning if one maintains an open mind.
My writing often reflects my interests and the insights I gain along the way, and I'm also in the process of completing my dissertation.
Spirituality holds a significant place in my life, and you will certainly find it woven throughout my writings. Additionally, I have a passion for movement, particularly Calisthenics and Martial Arts, which I have been practicing for over half my life.
To be honest, I was initially reluctant to share my voice online. The thought of being present on social media was daunting, and I stepped away from it a while ago. The concept of promoting myself feels odd; however, my enthusiasm for learning, writing, and sharing knowledge ultimately won out.
Now, after nearly two months of this journey, I have no regrets. I eagerly look forward to reading your work, connecting with you, and continuing to grow together.
Take care, and thank you for your time. Until we meet again in writing,
Gregor
P.S. A special thanks to Sílvia PM, PhD 🍂 and Dr. Sean Pine.
Chapter 2: The Power of Music and Connection
Music often serves as a catalyst for reflection and connection. One song that resonates deeply with me is "Falling Slowly" by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. This poignant piece captures the essence of vulnerability and the beauty of shared experiences.
Another song that strikes a chord is "You Should Be Here" by Cole Swindell. This track speaks to the longing for connection and the importance of cherishing relationships.
