A Heartfelt Journey: My Glaucoma Laser Experience

Chapter 1: Glaucoma Laser Day Reflections
Today marked an important day in my health journey—it's my glaucoma laser procedure day. The experience went smoothly, and I will have a clearer picture of its success during my follow-up appointment in early March.
I want to express my gratitude to everyone who reached out with prayers and positive thoughts regarding my procedure. If it weren't for my new eye doctor, I might never have discovered that I was in the early stages of glaucoma. Special thanks to my husband for recommending this new physician after my previous optometrist retired. I even captured a screenshot of the informative pamphlet I found.
A heartfelt moment occurred while I was waiting; a dear friend, Elizabeth, sent me a thoughtful text reminding me to breathe. Thank you for that, Elizabeth!
While in the waiting area, I connected with two other patients awaiting similar procedures. One woman walked in with an 'X' marked on her forehead, prompting me to exclaim, "You have an X on your forehead!" She laughed and replied, "So do you!" It was a comical realization that I had forgotten about the mark from the first nurse—an amusing moment where we both pondered if we were part of some secret society!
My husband waited patiently in a corner, holding my purse. I hope he didn't sneak any of my candy while I was in the procedure!
The entire process lasted roughly three minutes. I felt a light sensation in my eyes, but no pain—just a gentle reminder to breathe! It seems that "breathe" was the theme of the day.
After the procedure, James Scannell surprised me with a delightful visit to a restaurant. As we entered, I heard one of my all-time favorite songs, "Vision of Love" by Mariah Carey, playing over the speakers. I chuckled to myself, thinking, "Well played, God!" It was a moment filled with laughter and joy.
Thanks for taking the time to read my update. I think I deserve a nap now!
