The Long-Awaited UFO Disclosure: What to Expect

Written on

The Quest for UFO Disclosure

In my previous discussion titled "Rapture of the UFO Fans," I highlighted the ultimate goal for many enthusiasts: the long-anticipated government disclosure. This refers to the day when the U.S. authorities finally unveil a treasure trove of previously concealed information regarding UFOs.

For many, that day seems imminent. However, this sentiment has been echoed since at least the 1950s. What sparked this piece was a discovery of a compilation containing over 200 predictions about UFO-related occurrences spanning from ancient times to 1998. This collection was put together by Martin S. Kottmeyer and is available on The Anomalist website.

Here are six notable predictions from the list, but I encourage you to check out the full compilation at the provided link.

Predictions of Impending Revelations

  1. 1950: Donald Keyhoe, a Marine Corps aviator and UFO researcher, stated, “The official explanation may be imminent.”
  2. 1953: Albert K. Bender, founder of the first civilian UFO organization, claimed that the government would disclose UFO secrets within either five months or four years after being informed by three mysterious figures.
  3. 1974: Ralph and Judy Blum predicted, “By 1975, the government will provide definitive proof that extraterrestrials are monitoring us.”
  4. 1974: Robert Spencer Carr, a science fiction author and UFOlogist, asserted that by Christmas, there would be a public acknowledgment of the existence of human-like beings piloting UFOs.
  5. 1977: A column in U.S. News and World Report suggested that unsettling disclosures about UFOs were expected from the government, possibly from the President, by the end of the year.
  6. 1998: Journalist Michael Lindemann anticipated that general acceptance of UFOs as alien would occur “within the next five to ten years.”

Despite the passage of time, the fervor for imminent announcements persists. Recently, browsing through UFO discussions on platforms like Twitter and Reddit revealed the following sentiments:

  • Dr. Garry Nolan predicted that insiders from the U.S. government would disclose new UFO information within six months.
  • "You can feel it. Something will slip out that will change humanity forever. I believe it will come to light within the next three months, but the government will continue to deny it."
  • "Important hearings on UAP are approaching... Prepare for significant developments."
  • "I’m an insider. Expect disclosure within a few months... Get ready for a monumental shift in collective understanding."

Given that this anticipated information dump has been building for decades, it must be a vast quantity of data by now.

Overcoming Disappointment

It’s important to note that many UFO enthusiasts are skeptical about the likelihood of any forthcoming revelations. Some have lost faith in the government and are looking for alternative sources. Nonetheless, the tenacity of true believers remains remarkable. After 75 years, the expectation of imminent disclosure continues.

This situation reminds me of the classic study "When Prophecy Fails," conducted by three psychologists in 1956. The book chronicles a UFO-based religious group led by a Chicago woman who claimed to communicate with superior beings from the planet Clarion.

She foretold of a cataclysmic flood on December 21, 1954, but assured her followers that they would be rescued by a flying saucer beforehand. Some group members even abandoned their possessions and jobs in preparation. When the predicted disaster did not occur, the most devoted followers did not waver in their belief. Instead, they quickly devised explanations for the non-event and renewed their commitment to the group.

Unyielding Faith in Disclosure

Today, those who await government UFO disclosure exhibit similar resilience. When the information is finally unveiled, it will indeed be earth-shattering. However, if the government withholds the details, it’s only because the news is so significant. Either way, we’re on the edge of our seats!

The only responses to the disclosure query that are deemed unsatisfactory are those that lack intrigue—mundane explanations like drones, balloons, misidentifications, faulty radar, atmospheric phenomena, falsified reports, flares, meteors, and CGI.

It has been said that if just 1% of these sightings are authentic, we would face a revolutionary event. I concur, provided we define "authentic" as compelling, undeniable evidence—clear footage from various angles, physical samples, or perhaps an informal discussion with extraterrestrial beings.

After my last article on intestinal parasites, it’s refreshing to gaze skyward and contemplate our cosmic companions. (Or time-traveling friends, inter-dimensional beings, or hidden Earth civilizations, depending on who you ask.)

Chapter 2: The Latest on UFO Disclosure

The video titled "Congress tackles UFO disclosure | FOX 5 News" explores the recent congressional discussions surrounding the long-awaited UFO disclosures, shedding light on government efforts to address the public's curiosity.

The second video, "Pentagon releases UFO report," provides insights into the Pentagon's recent findings and what they may mean for the future of UFO investigations.
