Summer went too quickly; however, we’re looking forward to getting back to school schedules, cool weather, and football
games.
This is our time for setting new goals with our family, our business pursuits, and our spiritual growth. We enjoy getting back to volunteering in our schools, making new friends, reflecting, and getting refocused.
A friend once said, “Attitude plus Aptitude equals Altitude.” I am reminded to check my attitude and press forward!
I love this time of year because it brings change. I love the fall leaves, day light savings, Wednesday church, tailgate parties,
and the togetherness of this time of year. Are you hesitating or are you looking forward to the growth that the new season brings?
Mrs. Leola Porter shares a favorite beverage recipe called “Slush.” The wonderful thing about this delicious drink is the creativity and liberty you have in changing the colors to support your favorite team. Enjoy it at your next tailgate party!
Collect 4 cups water, 4 cups sugar, 4 – 3 oz jello (your choice of flavor), 2 large cans pineapple juice, 6 oz frozen orange juice, 6 oz frozen lemonade, and 1 gallon water.
Boil four cups of water, and then add sugar. When the sugar is dissolved, add the jello packets until it too has dissolved.
Add pineapple, orange, lemonade and one gallon water. Freeze until it’s slushy in a plastic inverted cake plate or other preferred container. Go Team!
